This role is a 12-month fixed-term contract established toprovide essential Human Resources support and is intended as a Year in Industry(YiNI) opportunity for an undergraduate student.

You will be supporting Watson-Marlow’s Central Functions andStrategic Business Development team Working under the guidance of the HR Advisorfor Central Functions and SBD, you will assist with a wide range of operationalHR, processes, and projects that enable a rapidly growing business.

Key Accountabilities include:

HR Administration

  • Provide comprehensiveadministrative support to the HR team across a range of HR activities.
  • Maintain accurate employee recordsand ensure HR systems are updated in a timely manner.
  • Manage HR documentation, electronicfiling and data management processes.
  • Produce HR reports, presentationsand management information as required.
  • Support payroll administration byliaising with Payroll.
  • Processing purchase orders and invoices.

Recruitment and Onboarding

  • Support recruitment activities,including interview scheduling, candidate communications and onboardingadministration.
  • Coordinate pre-employment checksand new starter documentation.
  • Assist in delivering a positiveonboarding experience for new employees.

Employee Lifecycle Support

  • Prepare HR documentation includingcontracts, letters and employee correspondence.
  • Support employee changes includingpromotions, transfers and leavers.
  • Respond to routine employee andmanager queries, escalating where appropriate.

Performance, Engagement andProjects

  • Support the administration ofperformance management activities, including objective setting, talent reviewsand annual review cycles.
  • Assist with employee engagement,wellbeing and inclusion initiatives.
  • Contribute to HR projects andcontinuous improvement activities.
  • Support the development andmaintenance of HR policies, procedures and guidance.

HR Systems and ContinuousImprovement

  • Support the maintenance andimprovement of HR systems, SharePoint/ Intranet sites and HR resources.
  • Assist with HR data analysis andreporting.
  • Identify opportunities to improveadministrative processes and ways of working.

Skills/Experience

  • A good standard of general education, particularly in English and maths
  • Experience of using MS packages including working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication
