Overview

As Business Planning and Performance Director, you will shape CPS’s strategy and drive performance across the business. You will partner with the CPS Managing Director to align operations, risk, and budget with long-term handback obligations. You will lead digital capability initiatives and risk management, while strengthening client and JV partner relationships. This role offers scope to influence broad change, improve data-driven decision making, and deliver contract success through a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

  • Set CPS direction and drive digital capability improvements for contract handback success
  • Guide the Performance Quality & Improvement team to meet business objectives
  • Oversee CPS Enterprise Risk Management for business continuity and opportunity capture
  • Maintain and adapt Customer and Business Strategies for evolving network needs
  • Prioritize client management and alignment with Parent Companies and JV Partners
  • Lead the BP&P team to achieve high performance aligned with strategy
  • Foster a high-performing team to exceed contract performance expectations
  • Define and review CPS business plans considering challenges and opportunities
  • Develop risk reporting and track performance trends against plans
  • Manage stakeholder relationships including NH, CP and road users
  • Prepare strategy and annual plans for Handback and obligations
  • Communicate Enterprise Risk to executives and cultivate risk-aware decision culture
  • Monitor performance and risk against contractual obligations; drive accountability
  • Build cross-team collaboration and maintain safety and wellbeing messaging
