Overview

In this senior, individual contributor role, you drive AI security governance at scale within IQVIA’s Security Architecture team. You partner with development, data, and business units to embed security controls and governance into AI adoption across the enterprise. You’ll own intake, risk assessment, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure responsible use of generative AI platforms. This role offers high-impact work shaping policy, architecture, and guardrails as AI use expands. You will operate in a global, matrixed environment with broad scope and strategic significance.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to and execute the AI security strategy with hands-on program delivery across governance, risk, and stakeholder engagement
  • Act as a security architecture partner for business units, development teams, and the Data Office for AI tool adoption
  • Own the AI security intake and review process for new AI platforms and tools, conducting structured security assessments
  • Represent Security Architecture in AI governance committees and taskforces to embed security requirements in decisions
  • Develop and operationalize AI security standards, guidelines, and reference architectures for generative AI and related tooling
  • Perform AI security architecture reviews for AI integrations, including RAG designs and multi-model orchestration
  • Build scalable AI security workflows, playbooks, and decision frameworks to enable efficient evaluation of adoption requests
  • Define security requirements for enterprise AI platforms, including prompt security, data residency, access controls, and auditing
  • Provide practical AI security guidance to development teams and support secure design of AI-enabled applications
  • Develop AI security awareness materials for developers, data teams, and stakeholders
  • Monitor evolving AI security and regulatory landscape and translate findings into updates to governance posture
  • Collaborate with Legal, Privacy, and Compliance on AI regulatory obligations (EU AI Act, GDPR, sector-specific rules)
  • Define metrics and reporting for AI security governance to show adoption volume, risk, and maturity

Key requirements

  • Substantial experience in Information Security, Security Architecture, or related roles with AI security expertise
  • Knowledge of generative AI security risks and controls (prompt injections, data leakage, model abuse, output manipulation, third-party risks)
  • Experience governing enterprise AI adoption including Copilot, developer tools, and LLM-based workflows
  • Familiarity with OWASP LLM Top 10, NIST AI RMF, and EU AI Act obligations
  • Experience engaging governance committees and influencing non-security stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of Azure and/or AWS and their AI/ML services
  • Ability to translate security and governance requirements into practical guidance for teams
  • Strong data protection understanding (data residency, PHI/PII handling, cross-border transfer under GDPR)
  • Knowledge of secure architecture patterns for LLM systems (RAG, agentic design, prompts, API gateway patterns)
  • Experience in regulated industries (life sciences, healthcare, or financial services) preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree related to the field and relevant certifications preferred
