Senior Lead Engineer – Networks
Our client is seeking a Senior Lead Engineer to strengthen its Networks team as it prepares the electricity transmission network for future needs and supports the energy transition. In this senior technical role, you will lead complex power system analysis and help turn engineering evidence into clear recommendations for network and connection decisions.
Based in Belfast, the role offers a hybrid working pattern, with three days in the office and two days working from home. This provides regular opportunities to collaborate in person while retaining flexibility for focused work away from the office.

The Role:
* Lead power system studies, including transient stability analysis and harmonic assessments. * Develop and maintain transmission network models, and improve analysis processes, tools and automation. * Contribute technical evidence to statutory and regulatory publications. * Prepare reports and recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.
The Person:
* Degree in engineering or a relevant discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience. * At least five years’ relevant postgraduate experience in power systems engineering, network or connections planning, or a closely related field. * Strong knowledge of power systems and experience with power system analysis software, such as PSSE or PowerFactory. * Able to analyse engineering data, communicate findings clearly and manage multiple workstreams. * Knowledge of Northern Ireland’s transmission system, chartered status or a relevant postgraduate qualification would be advantageous.
