Markets & Derivatives Associate

Overview

In this role you will support a leading international law firm’s London Capital Markets & Derivatives team. You will advise financial institutions, asset managers, insurers and corporates on derivatives, structured finance and capital markets transactions, including securitised derivatives and OTC derivatives. You will work on cross-border matters with a diverse client base, gaining early responsibility and direct client exposure. Responsibilities

• Provide advice on derivatives, structured finance and debt capital markets transactions
• Assist with securitised derivatives, structured products, OTC derivatives, repos and stock lending
• Support cross-border transactions and multi-jurisdictional matters
• Draft, review and negotiate transaction documents and related agreements
• Engage directly with clients and partners on complex matters
• Contribute to maintaining client relationships and delivering high-quality work

Key requirements

• 2–5 years of PQE in derivatives, structured finance and/or debt capital markets
• Experience at a leading law firm
• Strong technical skills with commercial judgement
• Ability to work directly with clients and assume responsibility early
