Real Estate Investment Associate

About the Role

Our client is looking for an ambitious and analytical Real Estate Investment Associate to support their investment team in East London . This role is integral to the evaluation, acquisition, and management of real estate assets, requiring strong financial acumen and market research skills. You will contribute to the firm’s success by identifying profitable investment opportunities and supporting the execution of investment strategies within the Eastern Cape region, working within a dynamic and growth-focused company.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the underwriting and due diligence process for potential real estate acquisitions.
• Conduct market research and analyze economic and demographic trends impacting real estate investments.
• Prepare financial models, investment memos, and presentations for internal review and investor reporting.
• Support the asset management team in monitoring property performance and implementing value-add strategies.
• Coordinate with external parties, including brokers, lawyers, and consultants, during transaction processes.
• Maintain and update databases of market comparables, property information, and investment performance metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in real estate investment, finance, or a related analytical role.
• Solid understanding of real estate valuation methods and financial modeling techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with real estate databases is a plus.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities, with keen attention to detail.
