Project Manager – Renewable Energy Projects

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Project Manager to oversee the development and execution of renewable energy projects in East London . This on-site role is critical for advancing the company’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions. You will manage all phases of project lifecycles, from site selection and feasibility studies to construction, commissioning, and operational handover. This position demands strong leadership, technical understanding of renewable energy technologies, and excellent stakeholder management skills. You will play a vital role in delivering impactful clean energy infrastructure in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete lifecycle of renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, or other sustainable technologies.
• Oversee project planning, including scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, regulatory bodies, and community stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are executed in compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and permitting requirements.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Manage project contracts, vendor performance, and financial aspects to ensure project profitability and timely completion.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in project management , with a significant focus on renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects from inception through to operational handover.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies and project development processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
