Pump Service Engineer

Overview

In this role, you will service, repair, and overhaul pumps and rotating equipment at Sulzer’s Birmingham Service Centre and on customer sites. You’ll diagnose faults, conduct performance tests, and produce technical documentation to support reliable maintenance for water, energy, and industrial sectors. You’ll work closely with a skilled team in a state-of-the-art facility and travel to customer locations when needed. This is a hands-on role with opportunities to impact service quality, safety, and efficiency at scale.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle, inspect, repair and rebuild pumps and rotating equipment
• Diagnose faults and propose repair solutions
• Perform performance testing and quality inspections
• Produce service reports and technical documentation
• Support site activities including maintenance, installation, commissioning and breakdown response
• Work safely and professionally at customer locations across the UK

Key requirements

• Experience servicing, repairing or overhauling pumps and rotating equipment
• Strong mechanical engineering and fault-finding skills
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
