Electrician 

Pertemps are recruiting for an Electrician to join a leading school based near Andover. This is a full time permanent position. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, testing and repair of electrical systems and equipment across the site. 

Responsibilities as an Electrician: 

• Assemble, install, test, certify and maintain electrical wiring, equipment and appliances. 
• Install and maintain three phase and single phase control gear for motors, pumps and fans. 
• Inspect, diagnose, test systems. 
• Assist IT Department with wiring and cabling.
• Carry out PAT testing. 
• Plan and coordinate routine electrical testing. 
• Maintain records of all testing and certification. 
• Ensure the school is fully registered with NICEIC or similar regulatory body.

Requirements: 

• Qualified Electrician
• Good working knowledge of installation BS 7671 
• Level 3 qualification for inspection, testing and installation 
• Experience of EICR
• Ability to work to RAMS
• Capable of emergency electrical triage 
• Own transport due to rural location 

The Role: 

• Competitive salary – £33,000 – £40,000 negotiable depending on experience 
• Monday – Friday, 7am – 3.30pm 
• 28 days holiday plus bank holidays
