Overview

As a Renewable Energy Consultant in RES’s Advisory Services, you will deliver client-facing advisory work across a growing wind portfolio, including due diligence, owners engineering, and life-extension assessments. You will evaluate end-of-life strategies for wind farms and work with cross-functional teams to refine offerings. This role combines technical analysis, project leadership, and stakeholder engagement to support growth and cost reduction. You will operate in a globally distributed team, shaping projects for a leading renewable energy company.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of advisory projects for clients (due diligence, owners engineering, technical missions)
  • Interpret client needs and communicate goals to internal and external stakeholders
  • Support growth targets and control project costs and timing
  • Manage technical, commercial and client-facing activities across projects
  • Produce presentations and reports for clients and internal teams
  • Ensure contracts, budgets, and timelines are aligned with client expectations
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and subcontractors to deliver on commitments
  • Contribute to proposal development to secure new work
  • Mentor junior team members and share knowledge to improve delivery

Key requirements

  • Knowledge of technical aspects of renewable energy infrastructure (onshore wind, battery storage)
  • Experience in owners engineering, due diligence, and technical advisory in wind or hybrid wind systems
  • Client-facing consultancy experience and ability to manage budgets and project costs
  • Proficiency with wind modelling tools and energy systems analysis (advantageous)
  • Strong verbal and written communication in English; ability to prepare clear reports
