Power Electronics Design Engineer

Overview

In this London-based role, you will design and develop analogue power electronics and lead projects from concept to production. You’ll work within a multi-skilled R&D team at a global engineering leader known for advanced technology and high-value programs. You’ll apply expertise in SMPS, AC/DC and DC/DC converters in regulated sectors, guiding technical teams and delivering impactful solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop analogue power electronics circuits
• Specifically work on SMPS, AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion systems
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers
• Drive complex power electronics projects from concept through to production
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to scale solutions in regulated industries

Key requirements

• Degree in Electronic Engineering or related discipline
• Significant experience in analogue power electronics design
• Proven experience with SMPS, AC/DC and DC/DC converters
• Experience in rail, energy, transport or other highly regulated sectors
• Ability to lead projects and mentor team members
