And you could be part of it.n n nThe Yard Area Manager is responsible for managing yard operations in coordination with Dock, Receive and Ship teams to ensure FIFO processing and mitigate CX impact risks. An ideal candidate has a background in transportation operations and has excellent program management skills. He/she has the ability to lead and mentor people; analyse data and make sound recommendations in an often ambiguous environment. One of the main responsibilities in this role is to standardise and improve processes; while analysing and eliminating root cause of defects within the current systems. You’ll also oversee process improvements within your area and drive implementation.n n nA typical day is varied, everything from routine team management and daily operational responsibilities to process improvement and wide-scale operational contingency tasks. You’ll also be a role model and mentor to new managers.n nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Advanced degree, or Bachelor’s degreen n- Experience in people management and team developmentn n- Experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadershipn n- Master’s degree, or experience using data to influence business decisionsn n- Speak, write, and read fluently in English at C1 level or aboven nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Knowledge of Six Sigma tools, Lean techniques, PMP or similar standards preferredn n- Experience in a logistics/operations environmentn n- Experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment, or experience with Microsoft Office products and applicationsn n nAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
