Overview
In this role you will take ownership of end-to-end commercial delivery for multiple capital water projects in the South West, working with a supportive team to optimise commercial performance. You’ll partner with operations and the client to drive value, mentoring junior staff while managing complex contracts. The position offers autonomy, strong career progression, and a clear impact on project outcomes from inception to final accounting.

Responsibilities
- End-to-end commercial management across project lifecycles
- Procurement and subcontract management
- Cost forecasting and regular reporting
- Change management and handling compensation events
- Managing client applications and valuations
- Final accounts and commercial close-out
- Mentoring and developing a junior Quantity Surveyor
- Collaborating with operations to drive commercial performance
Key requirements
- Experience as Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor in UK utilities/infrastructure/civil sectors
- Experience administering NEC contracts
- Strong commercial reporting and cost management skills
- Ability to manage projects independently
- Water sector experience advantageous but not essential
