Regional Main Contractor primarily specialising in Refurbishment works.

n

n

This is a rare opportunity to join an established Contractor that is going though a period of growth due to recent successful Framework agreements.

n

n

This position could suit an established Commercial Manager or an ambitious Quantity Surveyor who has experience of mentoring junior members of commercial staff.

n

n

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for advising on contract conditions and commercial matters and maintaining accurate financial control systems including, but not limited to:

n

n

·       Manage commercial and contractual arrangements associated with existing client accounts and ad-hoc projects.

n

·       Monitoring project progress monthly.

n

·       Initiate invoicing of customers for work completed in line with commercial and contractual arrangements in place.

n

·       Price, negotiate and agree costs and budgets for projects and project variances.

n

·       Resolve commercial and contractual disputes with the customer.

n

·       Manage and maximise cashflow to meet company standards and budgets.

n

·       Produce financial and management reports that monitor project progress.

n

·       Procurement and placing sub-contract packages to meet project delivery requirements.

n

·       Assist and mentor existing Surveying team.

n

n

The successful candidate will possess:

n

n

    n

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying.
  • n

  • Demonstrable experience working for another small or medium sized Main Contractor delivering refurbishment works.
  • n

  • IT proficient with Microsoft Packages, including Microsoft Excel.
  • n

  • Proficiency in construction cost estimation and Microsoft Office
  • n

  • Knowledge of relevant construction regulations and legal requirements
  • n

  • Applicants MUST have full right to work in the UK and reside within commuting distance of the advertised location.
  • n
