Overview

In this role you lead the Typhoon Export Support programme portfolio, directing a cross-functional IPT to deliver on contractual, financial and operational commitments. You act as a senior client and partner interface, ensuring alignment with priorities and programme performance while evolving the support offering for international Typhoon customers. You drive schedule, cost, quality and risk management to secure customer satisfaction and future opportunities. The role combines leadership, governance and strategy to shape the export support business within a global defence context.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the cross-functional IPT to deliver key Typhoon Export Support programmes with clear direction and accountability
  • Own the portfolio of export contracts, ensuring delivery against contractual, financial and operational commitments
  • Act as senior point of contact for export customers and industrial partners, maintaining strong relationships and alignment on priorities
  • Coordinate interfaces between Product, Test Equipment IPTs and export customers to maintain visibility while remaining customer-agnostic on product needs
  • Drive programme performance across schedule, cost, quality, risk, and customer satisfaction with robust recovery plans
  • Develop and execute programme strategy to meet evolving customer and product requirements
  • Identify opportunities to grow Typhoon Export Support with customers and internal stakeholders to secure follow-on business
  • Lead governance, including risk/opportunity management, financial performance, resource planning and key decisions
  • Champion best-in-class project and programme management practices to build capability across the Typhoon Support organisation

Key requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in programme or project management within complex engineering, aerospace or defence environments
  • Experience leading and federating cross-functional Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) or equivalent multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience managing complex customer contracts with delivery against financial, schedule, operational and contractual commitments
  • Ability to develop and execute data-driven programme plans and translate performance into priorities and actions
  • Strong understanding of programme governance, risk and opportunity management, financial management, and resource planning
  • Experience working with customers and industrial partners in a complex programme environment
  • Ability to operate across multiple internal organisations balancing customer requirements with broader product and business priorities
  • Knowledge of product support, Typhoon/Eurofighter or defence support landscape is advantageous
