As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you safeguard production continuity by diagnosing faults and performing electrical maintenance with a safe, methodical approach. You will work within the Engineering team to reduce downtime and support continuous manufacturing. The role combines electrical expertise with some mechanical work, in a company focused on quality, innovation and sustainable infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Ensure continuous production by minimizing downtime through fault finding and maintenance
- Carry out reactive maintenance on site to keep equipment available
- Maintain electrical systems controlling hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, motors and related machinery
- Read and interpret technical drawings to support maintenance and installation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and implement improvements
Key requirements
- Strong electrical knowledge with some mechanical experience
- Time-served in a similar role; NVQ3 level is preferred but not strictly required
- Apprentice-trained and (ideally) 18th edition wiring regulations qualification
- PLC fault finding skills would be advantageous
- Experience with robots and automated process equipment
- Experience in mechanical fitting, welding, fabrication and general machining is advantageous
- Experience in reactive and planned maintenance of electrical systems with conveyors and related machinery
