Hours: Full-Time Positions Available (24-Hour Care Package)

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated female Care Assistant to provide personal care and support in an individual’s home. This requirement is based on the nature of the personal-care duties involved.

Applicants must be comfortable working around animals, undertaking practical tasks and spending substantial time outdoors in varied weather conditions. This is an active role.

This is a complex care package involving clinical support, so relevant experience is preferred. Full role-specific training will be provided.

Experience

  • Previous experience working in a complex/clinical care or providing home care is highly desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with the individual, families, and team members
  • Basic IT skills for recording care notes and updating electronic records accurately
  • Ability to follow detailed care plans and adapt to individual needs with sensitivity and professionalism.

·Experience of complex respiratory or tracheostomy care is desirable; full training will be provided.

  • The role includes trained support with complex respiratory and airway-management needs.

·Provide trained support with

  • respiratory equipment and ventilation in accordance with the care plan.
  • airway-clearance procedures in accordance with the care plan.
  • catheter care and monitoring in accordance with the care plan.
  • enteral medication and fluid administration in accordance with the care plan.
  • moving and handling support using appropriate equipment and techniques in accordance with the care plan.
  • Medication
  • prescribed respiratory medication and equipment in accordance with the care plan.
  • diabetes monitoring and medication in accordance with the care plan.

·Undertake clinical observations and monitoring in accordance with the care plan.

·Undertake respiratory observations and monitoring in accordance with the care plan.

  • Assist with daily activities such as washing, dressing, oral hygiene, hair care and mobility to promote independence and dignity.
  • Support with meal preparation and feeding.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, including infection control procedures, to maintain a safe environment for everyone

Available shifts are 7.00 am–7.00 pm and 7.00 pm–7.00 am. This vacancy is primarily for day shifts, weekend and covering for annual leave.

All training will be provided
