Overview
In this role you will lead on-site delivery of planned maintenance across multiple social housing schemes in Birmingham, driving quality, safety, and timely completion. You’ll coordinate trades, subcontractors, and stakeholders to meet targets while maintaining occupier-facing considerations. You’ll work within an established team at a contractor known for its growing order book and partnership with housing providers. This is a hands-on leadership position with a clear impact on residents’ homes and safety.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day delivery of planned maintenance projects on site
- Lead operatives, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure quality, productivity, and safety standards
- Manage work programmes and coordinate project activities to meet delivery targets
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, RAMS, and company procedures
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, residents, and internal stakeholders
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager
Key requirements
- Previous experience managing social housing planned maintenance projects
- Experience working within occupied residential environments
- Strong knowledge of roofing, FRA works, kitchens & bathrooms, windows & doors, or aids & adaptations
- Experience managing subcontractors and direct labour on site
- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills
- Strong understanding of programme management, quality standards, and health & safety compliance
