Overview
In this role you influence SHE performance across a large, complex site environment for BAE Systems. You will support manufacturing, engineering and business teams at either Warton or Samlesbury, promoting a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance and risk control. You will lead audits, investigations and assurance activities, and provide expert advice to drive continuous SHE improvements. This is a hands-on partner role that links safety policy with day-to-day operations, delivering measurable safety outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Provide competent SHE advice across operational and functional areas
- Lead and support SHE activities including audits, reviews, investigations and assurance
- Manage site compliance with SHE standards, policies and legal requirements
- Support risk assessment activities and promote effective risk management principles
- Produce and analyse SHE performance data, reports and management information
- Coach, support and influence stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in SHE performance
Key requirements
- NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health (or equivalent qualification)
- Experience providing Safety, Health & Environmental advice within a business environment
- Good understanding of hazard identification, risk assessment and risk management principles
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- Experience supporting SHE management systems and compliance activities
- Ability to manage a varied workload across multiple priorities and projects
