Overview

In this role, you will lead the Group Finance cash and banking function, ensuring accurate, timely processing and strong controls across ~90 bank accounts and six currencies. You’ll coach a small team, collaborate with finance, banking partners and transformation teams, and drive process improvements. The role combines operations, controls and continuous improvement to support MAG’s large multi-airport business. You’ll contribute to efficient cash management and sustainable change within a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a small team of three, setting objectives and monitoring performance
  • Oversee daily cash and banking activities across multiple bank accounts and currencies with accuracy and timeliness
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate cash discrepancies and aged items
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on cash and banking issues and escalate where needed
  • Ensure monthly cash and banking controls are completed and reviewed within the control framework
  • Produce and analyse KPIs, MI and ad hoc reporting to highlight performance and improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with transformation teams to design, test and embed process/system changes
  • Build relationships across Finance and the business to improve data quality, controls and standardisation

Key requirements

  • Experience in Treasury, cash management or similar finance environment
  • Experience leading or coaching a team
  • Strong knowledge of cash positioning, payments, bank account administration and reconciliations
  • Experience with multi-currency banking activities
  • Good understanding of financial controls and problem-solving cash discrepancies
  • Excellent stakeholder management with senior Finance and external partners
  • Experience producing KPIs/MI for decision-making
  • Track record of process improvement and successful change implementation
  • Strong organisational skills with ability to prioritise in a fast-paced setting
  • Working knowledge of SAP, banking platforms and advanced Excel (advantageous)
  • Treasury qualification (e.g., ACT) or finance/leadership qualification (advantageous)
