OVERVIEW Middlesex University is seeking an International Mobility Manager to lead the development and delivery of international mobility and global opportunities across the institution. Reporting to the Placement and Opportunities Manager, the role supports student participation in international experiences and strengthens global partnerships within a higher education environment. The position focuses on delivering programmes that expand access to international mobility while supporting compliance, student welfare, funding processes and institutional priorities. The successful candidate will work closely with academic colleagues, professional services teams and international partners to enhance opportunities for student engagement and global learning.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of the university’s international mobility and global opportunities portfolio
- Expand access to international experiences for students
- Oversee mobility schemes and short-term international opportunities
- Manage virtual exchanges, international work placements and summer schools
- Support the development and maintenance of global partnerships
- Manage the full student journey from recruitment and selection through to evaluation
- Coordinate funding processes connected to mobility programmes
- Oversee risk management and student welfare support
- Work collaboratively with academic colleagues, professional services teams and international partners
- Increase participation in international opportunities, particularly among widening participation groups
- Ensure compliance with funding, regulatory and governance requirements
