Product Manager – Payroll Systems

In this role you lead the payroll product end to end for a growing UK software company. You will finalise the payroll spec, own the backlog and roadmap, and work closely with engineering and the internal payroll team to ship changes. You are the go-to payroll authority, shaping the long-term strategy and ensuring a smooth path to market. Responsibilities

• Own the payroll product end to end: requirements baseline, backlog, roadmap and release plan
• Collaborate with engineering and internal payroll team; test changes where needed
• Act as the go-to payroll authority for the teams from a Product perspective
• Shape the long-term payroll product strategy and roadmap

Key requirements

• Deep, current UK payroll knowledge (PAYE, NIC, RTI, statutory payments, pensions and auto-enrolment)
• Demonstrable product management experience in software (discovery, requirements, backlog ownership, shipping releases)
• Experience moving payrolls between systems including data migration, parallel running and reconciliation
• Strong written communication; ability to produce specs for others to act on without supervision
