Overview
You join a respected consultancy in the expert witness and dispute-resolution space to lead forensic structural projects. You will oversee a small team of engineers, craft Expert Witness reports, and advise on disputed projects at high levels. The role blends technical excellence with client-facing strategy and business development, contributing to a growing Technical Expert Witness practice. This is a chance to shape how structural engineering disputes are understood and resolved within a collaborative, high-calibre team.
Responsibilities
- Operational management and leadership of a small team of forensic engineers
- Producing Expert Witness reports on structural engineering matters
- Providing testimony and strategic advice for disputed projects
- Shaping strategy for the Technical Expert Witness and Dispute Resolution business
- Collaborating with existing Structural Experts and a diverse team of specialists
- Business development and marketing to new and existing clients
- Participating in construction law seminars
- Overseeing delivery of niche structural engineering projects
Key requirements
- Degree qualified in structural (building or civil) engineering
- Ideally chartered; legal qualifications beneficial
- Senior management experience within a respected engineering consultancy
- Experience across a wide range of project types and materials
- Excellent report writing and English language skills
- Strong relationship-building abilities with high-profile clients
- Friendly, affable, diplomatic, confident, team-oriented
- Exposure to Expert Witness work or court process beneficial but not essential
