About Buy Me Media

Buy Me Media exists to take the stress out of marketing, giving business owners the clarity and confidence they need to scale.

Based at The Sharp Project in Manchester, we are a fast-growing growth marketing agency delivering integrated, results-driven campaigns across Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, Digital Out of Home, digital audio, programmatic, streaming platforms and more.

Our approach is simple: clear strategy, transparent execution and measurable growth.

We work closely with our clients to turn commercial objectives into campaigns that perform. That means understanding what a client is trying to achieve, choosing the right channels, using data to make better decisions and constantly looking for ways to improve performance.

The Role

We are looking for a hands‑on, commercially minded Digital Marketing Specialist with at least two years’ experience in paid digital advertising to join our growing team in Manchester.

This is a broad digital marketing role with a strong performance focus. You will be responsible for planning, building, managing and optimising campaigns across search, paid social, GEO, programmatic and alternative digital channels.

Google Search and PPC are particularly important to this role, so you will need strong practical experience in these areas and a genuine interest in understanding what drives performance.

You will work closely with our Account Managers, Creative Designers, Project Managers and Data Analysts to deliver campaigns from initial setup through to optimisation and reporting.

Our internal creative team takes care of the heavy lifting when it comes to design and creative production, so you do not need to be an Adobe expert. What we do need is someone who understands how creative affects performance, can brief effectively and is confident using campaign data to identify what is working and what needs to change.

You will also have the opportunity to develop your experience across programmatic advertising and emerging digital channels, working with our team to deliver campaigns across a wider media mix.

Search, PPC & Google Ads

  • Build, manage and optimise Google Ads campaigns across Search, Performance Max, Display, YouTube and Shopping.
  • Develop effective PPC strategies based on client objectives, audiences, budgets and commercial targets.
  • Conduct keyword research, search term analysis, bid management and ongoing account optimisation.
  • Monitor campaign performance and proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency, conversion rates and return on investment.
  • Ensure campaigns are structured correctly, with appropriate targeting, bidding, budgets, tracking and creative.
  • Stay up to date with changes to Google Ads, search behaviour and the wider paid search landscape.
  • Support the development and implementation of GEO strategies to improve brand visibility across generative search and AI-powered platforms.
  • Understand how users are increasingly discovering brands, products and services through AI-powered search and conversational platforms.
  • Research topics, audiences, search intent and content opportunities that can improve visibility within generative search results.
  • Work with internal teams to identify opportunities for brands to build authority, relevance and visibility across emerging AI search environments.
  • Monitor developments across generative search and AI platforms and identify new opportunities for clients.
  • Help develop measurable approaches to understanding and reporting on GEO performance as the discipline continues to evolve.

Paid Social & Social Media

  • Build, launch and optimise campaigns across platforms including Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, LinkedIn and other relevant social channels.
  • Select appropriate audiences, objectives, placements, formats and bidding strategies based on campaign goals.
  • Monitor spend and performance closely, making data‑led optimisation decisions throughout the campaign lifecycle.
  • Work with our Creative Designers to develop and refine creative based on campaign performance and audience behaviour.
  • Understand how paid social fits into wider awareness, consideration, lead generation and conversion strategies.
  • Keep up to date with changes across social advertising platforms and emerging opportunities.

Programmatic & Alternative Digital Channels

  • Support the planning, setup, management and optimisation of programmatic campaigns through our DSP stack.
  • Develop an understanding of audience targeting, programmatic buying, inventory, bidding and campaign optimisation.
  • Work across alternative digital channels including digital audio, streaming platforms and Digital Out of Home where appropriate.
  • Identify opportunities to use different channels together to create more effective integrated campaigns.
  • Develop your knowledge of emerging advertising technologies and digital media opportunities.

Analytics, Tracking & Performance

  • Use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM) to monitor user behaviour, conversions and campaign performance.
  • Support the implementation and testing of conversion tracking across digital campaigns.
  • Analyse campaign data to understand what is driving performance and where improvements can be made.
  • Monitor budgets, pacing, bids, conversions, cost per acquisition, return on ad spend and other relevant KPIs.
  • Identify trends and translate data into clear, practical recommendations.
  • Troubleshoot tracking or performance issues and work with the relevant team members to resolve them.

Reporting & Client Performance

  • Work with Account Managers and Data Analysts to turn campaign data into clear, meaningful performance insights.
  • Contribute to regular client reporting and performance reviews.
  • Explain campaign performance in straightforward commercial terms, rather than simply reporting numbers.
  • Make recommendations based on evidence and understand how digital activity contributes to wider business objectives.
  • Help ensure campaigns remain aligned with agreed objectives, budgets and KPIs.
  • Work closely with Account Managers to understand client objectives and campaign requirements.
  • Collaborate with our Creative Designers to brief, review and improve campaign creative.
  • Work with Data Analysts to identify deeper insights and opportunities within campaign data.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure campaigns are delivered accurately and on time.
  • Share knowledge, ideas and best practice across the wider team.
  • Take ownership of your work while being comfortable asking questions and collaborating with others.

Skills & Experience – Essential

  • At least 2 years’ hands‑on experience managing paid digital advertising campaigns, ideally within an agency environment.
  • Strong practical experience with Google Ads and PPC, particularly Google Search.
  • Strong understanding of Google Search and PPC, including keyword research, search intent, campaign structure and performance optimisation.
  • Experience managing paid social campaigns, ideally across platforms such as Meta, TikTok, Snapchat or LinkedIn.
  • An interest in Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and the changing landscape of AI‑powered search.
  • Experience using Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to analyse campaign and website performance.
  • Experience with Google Tag Manager (GTM) and conversion tracking.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing funnels, from brand awareness through to lead generation, e‑commerce and conversion.
  • Comfortable working with budgets, campaign pacing, performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • A commercial mindset and an understanding that good digital marketing needs to deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly when setting up campaigns, budgets, targeting and tracking.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive approach and a genuine interest in digital marketing, advertising platforms and emerging technology.
  • Experience managing programmatic campaigns through a Demand Side Platform (DSP).
  • Experience with platforms such as Spotify, Digital Out of Home, streaming or digital audio advertising.
  • Experience using Looker Studio or other reporting platforms.
  • Google Ads, Meta or other recognised digital marketing certifications.
  • Previous agency experience working across multiple clients and industries.
  • Experience working with e-commerce platforms and conversion‑led campaigns.

What We Are Looking For

More than anything, we are looking for someone who is curious, commercially minded and hands‑on.

You should enjoy getting into the detail of a campaign, understanding why something is performing the way it is and working out what to do next.

You do not need to know every platform inside out. Digital marketing changes quickly, so we value people who are willing to learn, test, challenge assumptions and develop their skillset.

You should be comfortable working independently, but equally happy collaborating with Account Managers, creatives, analysts and the wider team.

Most importantly, you should care about doing good work and understand that successful marketing is about more than clicks and impressions. It is about delivering results that make a genuine difference to our clients’ businesses.

What We Offer

  • Permanent, full-time contract. Part Time contracts also available.
  • On‑site position based at The Sharp Project in Manchester.
  • Free on‑site parking.
  • Training and upskilling in programmatic DSP trading and emerging ad tech.
  • Opportunities to develop your skills across search, social, programmatic and alternative digital channels.
  • Clear opportunities for career progression within a growing agency.
  • Regular team socials and agency events.
  • A supportive, down‑to‑earth culture where your work directly impacts client success.
