Overview
In this role you support Abbott’s Witney manufacturing operations by maintaining and improving bespoke automated equipment in a cleanroom setting. You’ll perform preventative maintenance, quickly troubleshoot breakdowns, and monitor equipment performance to protect yields and efficiency. You’ll also assist project teams when implementing equipment changes, contributing to continuous improvement and high quality standards. Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on bespoke automated equipment
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and fault find to restore operations
- Monitor equipment performance and contribute to yield and efficiency improvements
- Provide input to process improvements and maintenance plans
- Assist Projects Team in implementing changes to equipment
- Maintain high standards of record keeping per quality systems
- Work in clean room/controlled environment with cross-functional collaboration
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations
Key requirements
- Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in set-up of precision assemblies
- Proficiency with machine tools
- Strong fault finding and problem solving skills
- Completed recognised engineering apprenticeship or higher education qualification in related subject
- Effective communication with peers and other departments
- Teamwork and collaboration
- Attention to detail and good record keeping
