About the Role

The Barracks Inn is seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our professional kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing authentic Indian cuisine while maintaining consistency, quality, and traditional cooking standards expected by our customers.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• – planning and developing menus;
• – maintaining authentic Indian and Nepalese food-production standards;
• – supervising preparation and cooking;
• – allocating duties to kitchen employees;
• – maintaining consistency and portion control;
• – monitoring stock levels;
• – ordering ingredients and supplies;
• – supervising and training kitchen employees;
• – managing food hygiene procedures;
• – ensuring compliance with food-safety requirements;
• – reducing wastage and controlling kitchen costs;
• – maintaining appropriate kitchen records; and
• – ensuring efficient delivery of the restaurant’s food offering.

The role is operationally necessary because the company requires an experienced senior chef to take responsibility for the entire kitchen function.
