Overview
In this role you will support the commercial management of a live utilities contract within a large-scale water infrastructure programme. You’ll work with operational and client teams to safeguard margins, drive cost control, and identify value opportunities. The position offers clear progression toward senior levels and a chance to shape commercial processes in a safety‑first, client‑centric environment. You will contribute to delivering essential services for customers and communities, with a focus on practical, delivering outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Support cost reporting, forecasting and performance analysis for a live contract
- Assess and manage subcontractor accounts, including timely valuation and issue resolution
- Prepare and submit applications for payment and client reporting
- Identify value opportunities, cost efficiencies and improvements to margin and processes
- Collaborate with operational teams to ensure robust commercial control across the contract
- Provide a pathway for progression toward Senior Quantity Surveyor level
Key requirements
- 3 years+ experience in a Quantity Surveying role within utilities/infrastructure or similar
- Working knowledge of NEC contracts and general contract awareness
- Strong Excel skills and understanding of cost reporting and forecasting
- Experience of subcontract management and commercial administration
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with stakeholders
- Tenacious, self-motivated with the ability to take ownership
