Overview
As Quantity Surveyor you will own the commercial performance of diverse infrastructure projects across the North of Scotland, ensuring timeous delivery, profitability, and high standards. You will work closely with operational teams and senior management to manage costs, risk, and commercial outcomes. The role offers exposure to civil engineering, HDD, multi-utilities, and renewables within a supportive, growth-oriented environment. Responsibilities
- Manage project costs, budgets, valuations and variations
- Procure and administer subcontractor packages
- Prepare and submit applications for payment
- Monitor commercial performance and forecast project outcomes
- Identify risks and opportunities across projects
- Provide commercial guidance to site and project teams
- Negotiate and agree final accounts
Key requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role
- Experience in civil engineering, utilities, or groundworks
- Strong commercial acumen and contractual knowledge
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
