Quantity Surveyor

Overview

In this Quantity Surveyor role, you will provide commercial support across education, leisure, health and other sectors to keep projects on time and within budget. You will collaborate with the project team and senior commercial staff to protect value and ensure strong relationships with supply chain partners. You will manage payments, procure work packages, and monitor cost position through value reports, enabling timely resolutions to disputes. Responsibilities

• Deliver projects within budget and quality targets
• Collaborate with project teams and senior commercial staff to meet budgeted targets
• Build and maintain relationships with supply chain, consultants, and customers
• Value, certify and issue payment notices for supply chain partners per contract
• Procure work packages from approved supply chain partners per company standards
• Ensure external valuations and payments occur by due date
• Prepare cost value comparison (CVC) reports reflecting site position and projections
• Identify potential disputes early and implement effective solutions

Key requirements

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel
• Procurement and cost management experience
• Excellent financial and contractual awareness
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Valid driving licence
