What You’ll Be Doing
- Delivering asbestos management surveys and re-inspections across the Council’s estate.
- Supporting the management and delivery of the asbestos compliance programme.
- Maintaining and developing asbestos records and management systems.
- Providing professional advice to property teams, building managers and contractors.
- Supporting capital projects by identifying and managing asbestos risks.
- Assisting with asbestos-related remedial programmes and project delivery.
- Promoting good asbestos management practices across the organisation.
- Delivering asbestos awareness advice and guidance where required. The Fluency Duty is outlined in the Code of Practice on the English language requirements for public sector workers. The Fluency Duty for this role is Required. You must be able to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public.
We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Ideally, you’ll hold:
- P402 Asbestos Surveying.
- P405 Management of Asbestos in Buildings.
- Experience undertaking asbestos surveys and inspections.
- A good understanding of asbestos legislation and compliance requirements.
- Experience providing advice to clients, contractors and project teams.
- A proactive, organised and customer-focused approach.
- A genuine team-player mindset.
