The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students access learning and develop confidence both inside and outside the classroom.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Providing one-to-one and small group support
- Assisting students with additional needs, including SEND
- Supporting classroom activities and lesson delivery
- Encouraging student engagement and participation
- Promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing
- Helping students develop social and emotional skills
- Working collaboratively with teachers, parents and support staff
We Are Looking For
- A positive, patient and caring approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with young people
- Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals is advantageous but not essential
- A genuine passion for supporting education and student development
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable (or willingness to obtain one)
