Overview
As Principal Architect within JPMorganChase’s Infrastructure Platforms Hosting Capability Framework, you own end-to-end architecture across Public and Private Cloud. You define standardized hosting models, patterns, and security controls to support delivery across numerous platforms and regulators. You lead technically and govern architecture while mentoring teams, translating business strategy into actionable roadmaps. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to drive multi-cloud portability and risk-managed hosting at scale, delivering meaningful impact across regions and products. Responsibilities
- Architect standardized, classification-driven hosting models, stacks, and reusable patterns
- Govern datacentre hosting patterns (Hyperscale, Regional, In-Country, Edge) with security controls and Risk & Trust capabilities
- Drive multi-cloud portability strategy across core platform capabilities and AWS-native alternatives
- Provide advanced architecture concepts and hands-on design leadership
- Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective enterprise hosting platforms and embed guidance into engineering workflows
- Implement architecture governance automation tools
- Mentor and lead senior engineers and cross-functional stakeholders
- Apply horizontal Risk & Trust capabilities: Isolation, Zero Trust, Data Residency, Segmentation
- Leverage AI-assisted development and coding tools and architecture-as-code frameworks
- Integrate enterprise AI capabilities with validated, auditable practices to ensure data sensitivity compliance
Key requirements
- Formal training or certification on architecture concepts and advanced applied experience
- Extensive hands-on software and systems architecture experience with large-scale, mission-critical systems
- Expertise in hosting and datacentre architecture across Public and Private Cloud
- Proven ability to design scalable, secure, and cost-effective enterprise hosting platforms
- Experience with Isolation, Zero Trust, Data Residency, and Segmentation
- Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot)
- Experience with architecture-as-code frameworks (FINOS CALM or similar)
- Demonstrated experience applying enterprise AI capabilities with strong validation and data-sensitivity awareness
- Ability to design and build architecture governance automation tools
