Hourly Rate: Up to £13.54 per hour (DOE)
Shifts: DS/NS rotation – 2 weeks of days / 2 weeks of nights

Job Description
As a Robot Welding Operator, you will operate and maintain robotic welding machines to ensure consistent, high‑quality output on a range of metal components. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include machine operation, quality inspections, basic maintenance and participation in continuous improvement initiatives.
This hands‑on role suits someone who has a keen eye for detail, thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is committed to producing precision work while adhering to safety standards.
Key Duties
- Operating and monitoring robotic welding equipment
- Loading and unloading metal parts into welding fixtures
- Dressing and finishing welded parts using tools such as grinders and scrapers
- Changing welding fixtures and loading the correct programmes
- Performing visual and dimensional checks using gauges and measuring tools
- Reporting welding defects and collaborating with team leaders for resolutions
- Carrying out routine maintenance and minor equipment repairs
- Maintaining accurate documentation through computer‑based systems
Skills & Experience
- Basic or intermediate welding and fabrication experience (MIG, TIG preferred)
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with robotic welding systems (FANUC, ABB, Motoman) is highly desirable
- Proficient with inspection tools such as verniers, callipers, weld gauges
- Strong attention to detail and hand‑eye coordination
- Willingness to work in a physically demanding industrial environment
- Commitment to safety and clean working practices
