Deputy Home Manager Faith House
Faith House is seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Home Manager to join its senior management team and support the running of a 35-bed Nursing Home and 32-bed Residential Home, caring for approximately 67 residents and 120 staff.
Working closely with the Home Manager, the Deputy will help oversee the day-to-day operation of both homes, deputise when required, and provide leadership to staff and Heads of Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Home Manager with overall service management and deputise when required.
- Lead and support staff, Heads of Department and management teams.
- Act as a senior contact for residents, families and external professionals.
- Conduct pre-admission assessments and support admissions.
- Manage safeguarding, accidents, incidents and required follow-up/notifications.
- Liaise with RQIA, Social Workers, Care Managers and Health & Social Care Trusts.
- Support recruitment, appraisals, performance management, disciplinary processes and staff development.
- Lead meetings, audits and quality-improvement initiatives.
- Support regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
- Participate in the management on-call rota.
Essential Requirements
- Current NMC-registered Nurse.
- Minimum 5 years’ post-registration experience.
- At least 1 year of clinical/care leadership or management experience.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work confidently with residents, families, staff and professionals.
- Flexible approach and willingness to participate in on-call duties.
- Right to work in the UK.
Experience in care homes, adult safeguarding, RQIA compliance, incident management, admissions and staff management is advantageous.
