About the Job

Reporting to the Directors, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of the companies accounts function.

• Management accounts production for a number of the trading entities within the group (currently 8 with more growth anticipated)
• Involvement in the purchase ledger – as support to our existing purchase ledger clerk
• Ownership of credit cards and expenses – currently carried out by our purchase ledger clerk, but I want someone to do more than just processing – challenge the spend, identify areas for saving, ensure the company policy is adhered to etc
• Work alongside existing Accounts Assistant on group consolidation, shareholder reporting and other reporting requirements
• Depending on candidate, co-ordination of statutory requirements – annual accounts, tax computation review etc.

Skills and Experience

• IATI qualified as a minimum (further qualified candidates are also welcome to apply)
• Proven experience in bookkeeping, VAT and payroll.
• Confident using cloud accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
• A professional, client focused approach and clear communication skills
• Able to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
