The Opportunity
A leading and highly respected Leicester law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Private Client Solicitor to join its thriving Private Client team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a prestigious client base, including high-net-worth individuals, business owners, landed estates, and vulnerable clients, while taking a leading role in the growth and development of the department.
The Role
- You will manage a varied caseload of private client matters, including:
- Drafting wills and powers of attorney
- Advising on inheritance tax and estate planning
- Administering estates and trusts
- Handling Court of Protection applications
- Supporting high-net-worth individuals and vulnerable clients with sensitivity and discretion
In addition, you will:
- Advise clients on complex trust and succession planning matters
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Mentor and supervise junior team members
- Play an active role in business development and networking initiatives
- Contribute strategically to the continued success and growth of the Private Client department
About You
- Ideally 5+ years’ PQE within private client law
- Strong technical expertise across wills, probate, trusts, tax planning, and estate administration
- Experience advising high-net-worth clients
- STEP qualification or a desire to work towards it
- Excellent interpersonal and client care skills
- A compassionate and professional approach, particularly when assisting vulnerable clients
- Proven ability to manage a busy caseload independently
