Overview

As a Senior Legal Underwriter, you assess the merits of Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury claims to determine insurability. You will build and manage UK client relationships and identify new business opportunities. You’ll collaborate with law firm clients to oversee insured cases and mentor junior colleagues. This role offers meaningful impact by supporting responsible underwriting in a leading legal expenses insurer.

Responsibilities

• Assess the merits of Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury matters to determine insurability
• Develop and maintain relationships with UK clients and pursue new business opportunities
• Collaborate with law firm clients to manage insured cases
• Mentor and support junior team members while handling cases

Key requirements

• 3+ years England and Wales Qualified Lawyer or 3+ years Insurance Underwriter
• Experience working on Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence matters
