We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a specialist autism school on a temporary basis, supporting KS2 classes and Year 7 Nurture groups. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils with individual needs, some of whom may have been out of education for a significant period.Location: OldhamRate: Up to £125/dayContract: Temporary, long-termHours: 8:30 – 4:30, Full-time, Term-Time OnlyKey Duties/Responsibilities:Provide tailored support to pupils with autism and additional needs, ensuring they can access learning effectively.Assist in delivering engaging lessons and activities in KS2 and Year 7 Nurture classes.Build positive, trusting relationships while maintaining firm and consistent boundaries.Support pupils in overcoming personal barriers to education and promoting emotional regulation.Work collaboratively with teachers and the wider team to create a safe, structured, and stimulating environment

Key Skills/Experience:Experience working with children with autism or additional needs, preferably within a school or care environmentAbility to set clear boundaries while fostering positive relationships.High energy, creativity, and resilience to thrive in busy classroom environments.Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting pupils’ development.
