Overview

In this role you support GCIB Credit COO activities focused on EMEA governance and reporting, enabling the UK/EU growth tied to changing entity structures. You work with cross-functional partners to manage controls, reporting, and regulatory obligations, and you will grow into broader COO responsibilities. You will help drive process improvements and ensure adherence to internal policies and external requirements. This is a hands-on, collaborative role at a global bank with a strong focus on governance and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day management of EMEA legal entity booking selection approvals
  • Perform reconciliations and reporting for facilities within Risk Appetite Statement scope
  • Support pipeline tracking and legal entity reporting activities
  • Assist with CRD6-related project delivery and implementation activities
  • Produce management information and reporting to support governance processes
  • Collaborate with GCIB, Credit, Risk, Operations, Finance, Compliance, and Technology teams
  • Over time, contribute to Front Line Unit procedures and guidance, subject matter expert on designated processes
  • Support monitoring and testing of controls through data analysis, issue remediation
  • Assist with regulatory examinations, internal audits, and inspection reviews
  • Prepare governance dashboards and metrics for management forums

Key requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in business support, credit, risk management, operations, finance or related function
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Interest in leveraging AI and emerging technologies to improve efficiency
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
