Senior Cost Manager

Overview

As a Senior Cost Manager, you’ll advance your career within our North East cost management team, handling cost governance on major infrastructure projects across transportation, utilities and highways. You will support project delivery, cost forecasting and reporting to keep projects within budget, while guiding contracts and change processes. The role offers strong training, professional development and opportunities to broaden your technical and leadership capabilities. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to drive value and improve project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to project completion within budget
• Proactively manage cost variances and contract cash flow; ensure timely applications
• Collaborate with client and contractor teams on deliverables, KPIs, and value engineering
• Lead contract change management to maintain governance and best-practice
• Improve forecast and budget accuracy; provide commercial support to stakeholders
• Negotiate and finalise final accounts
• Lead people and commissions as needed
