Our client, an established Water Treatment and Water Hygiene company, is looking to recruit an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer / Plumber to cover contracts throughout the North West.Ideally, candidates will be based around Preston or within easy access of the M6 corridor, although applications from experienced candidates outside this area will also be considered.This is a varied field-based role combining routine Water Hygiene and Legionella compliance duties with plumbing and remedial works across a range of commercial and industrial sites.The RoleThe successful candidate will carry out a broad range of Water Hygiene duties, including:Cooling tower cleaning and disinfectionCold Water Storage Tank cleaning and disinfectionWater system disinfectionL8 Water Hygiene monitoringHot and cold water temperature monitoringWater samplingTMV servicing and fail-safe testingShowerhead and hose cleaning, descaling and disinfectionCold Water Storage Tank inspectionsCalorifier inspectionsFlushing of little-used outletsGeneral Water Hygiene and Legionella compliance dutiesCompleting site logbooks and electronic service reportsThe position will also involve plumbing and remedial works where required, which could include:Installation and replacement of TMVsDead-leg removalPipework modificationsInstallation and replacement of taps, valves and associated fittingsTank and calorifier remedial worksGeneral plumbing repairs associated with Water Hygiene complianceIdentifying additional remedial requirements while attending customer sites
