Linux Engineer – Quant Fund

Overview

In this role you help build and operate a high‑performance Linux-based trading platform within a globally recognized quant trading environment. You will join a skilled team to automate, harden, and scale infrastructure that powers complex trading systems. You’ll lead infrastructure initiatives and collaborate across teams to deliver reliable, low‑latency services. Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to the infrastructure and Linux/Unix environment for trading systems
• Drive automation and platform improvements to reduce human error
• Support and shape the trading infrastructure in collaboration with cross‑functional teams
• Oversee or contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
• Ensure reliable network and time synchronization (TCP/IP, NTP, PTP) within a fast‑paced environment

Key requirements

• 5 years hands‑on Linux/Unix administration (RHEL/CentOS/OEL preferred)
• 3+ years leading a technology/infrastructure team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Relentless customer service orientation
• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem‑solving skills
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline tools
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, multicast, tcpdump, clocking (PTP, NTP)
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced and deadline‑oriented environment
