Overview
As Site Manager you will oversee a refurbishment of a government building in Northampton (NN1) as the second phase of an ongoing project. You will report to the main contractor and lead on-site coordination, ensuring internal works are delivered safely, on time, and to quality standards. The role focuses on managing subcontractors, supervising compliance and health & safety, and keeping stakeholders aligned. This is a finite 8-week assignment with a clear emphasis on safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient site execution. The position offers hands-on experience in a Government-related refurbishment program and requires the specified safety tickets.
Responsibilities
- Manage on-site activities and coordinate subcontractors to deliver refurbishment works
- Oversee health, safety, and compliance on site and ensure adherence to regulations
- Liaise with the main contractor and clients to align expectations and progress
- Ensure quality standards and timely delivery during the second phase of a refurbishment project
- Monitor site logistics and risk controls to maintain a safe working environment
