Overview
In this role you drive quality systems and process improvements across a high-precision manufacturing site. You will define and implement quality standards, support operations and suppliers, and lead corrective actions and audits to ensure conformance to AS9100/ISO standards. You’ll mentor engineers, analyze metrics, and lead cross-functional improvement projects that strengthen product reliability and customer satisfaction. This position offers hands-on impact in a global aerospace supplier environment.

Responsibilities
- Design, coordinate and implement complex process sampling, statistical methods and quality systems
- Develop plant-wide process improvement and cost-control programs
- Review specifications to ensure processes meet requirements; provide technical support to operations, customers and suppliers
- Supervise personnel, train employees on customer requirements, and perform quality engineering with minimal supervision
- Develop and implement quality standards and QA procedures for manufacturing; support new product launches
- Lead and participate in audits, host inspectors/customers, and present material to stakeholders
- Support supplier quality data analysis and supplier development activities to mitigate risk
- Evaluate process capability, MSA, SPC and lead corrective actions; close 8D and root-cause analysis
- Lead cross-functional process improvement teams and drive PFMEAs and lean initiatives
- Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001/TS 16949 and other quality registrations
Key requirements
- Bachelor in Engineering or related field with 3 years in manufacturing (or 10 years experience in lieu of degree)
- Strong understanding of blueprints, specifications and quality systems (ISO 9001, AS9100)
- Experience with quality audits and MS Windows / MS Office
- Project management experience and supervisory experience preferred
- CQE/CQA/CQMgr certifications preferred
- Knowledge of Six Sigma, 8D, MSA, SPC and root-cause analysis
- Familiarity with APQP and NPD processes
