Overview
In this role you will lead transport planning projects from concept to delivery, shaping sustainable development across a diverse portfolio. You will work with a Birmingham-based, multidisciplinary team to build strong client relationships and deliver innovative, low-carbon transport solutions. You’ll mentor junior colleagues and help grow the local Transport Planning practice, while collaborating across disciplines to create positive community impacts. This is an opportunity to influence projects at scale and contribute to Stantec’s growth in the UK.

Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of transport planning projects across development and infrastructure schemes
- Prepare and oversee Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, transport modelling and environmental work
- Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
- Manage projects, programmes and budgets
- Mentor and support junior team members
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to business development
Key requirements
- Strong experience in transport planning, ideally within the land development sector
- Proven leadership, project delivery and client management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proactive approach and passion for innovation and the future of low-carbon transport
- A degree in Transport Planning, Engineering, Geography or a related discipline
