Overview

In this role you will lead a production team responsible for multiple lines, ensuring safe operations, quality, and on-time output. You will collaborate with Engineering and Quality to meet production plans and drive improvements. The role includes training, performance discussions, and supporting recruitment and investigations. You will analyze data, manage documentation, and motivate the team to hit targets within Perrigo’s safety-focused culture. This is a chance to shape day-to-day manufacturing excellence in a leading FMCG environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of operators (10–20) across production lines and support temporary staffing as needed
  • Ensure safety, quality, volume, cost, and behavioral targets with timely deviation escalation
  • Conduct training plans, appraisals, attendance reviews, and assist recruitment and disciplinary actions
  • Interface with Engineering and Quality; report to Production Shift Manager
  • Manage order-related processes and line documentation; oversee additional lines when required
  • Collect and enter data into electronic data collection systems; analyze safety, quality, production, cost, and people metrics
  • Lead or participate in improvement projects related to safety, quality, productivity, cost or behavior
  • Organize procedural updates for production lines; prepare handovers and participate in meetings
  • Motivate the team to meet and exceed the production plan; track scorecard metrics
  • Perform performance-related activities such as one-to-one reviews, return-to-work interviews, and, where needed, Performance Improvement Plans
  • Develop and implement a training plan to align lines with production demand
  • Escalate decisions as required and support other duties to aid Perrigo business

Key requirements

  • Numeracy and literacy at Level 2 Maths and English
  • Competent in MS Office
  • Working knowledge of workplace safety principles
  • Experience supervising in Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)
  • Clear communication and ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
