Procurement Contracting Principles & Compliance Senior Specialist

Overview

In this role, you will shape procurement contracting standards and ensure compliance across multiple geographies in partnership with the legal team. You’ll lead policy guidance, contract reviews and training to support complex negotiations while mitigating risk. The position sits within the Procurement Governance & Excellence function, driving harmonised governance and embedding regulatory and environmental requirements. This is a chance to influence contracting practice at scale within a global aerospace business.

Responsibilities

• Define and refine P&SC contractual standards with legal support
• Review contract documents and business provisions
• Provide training and guidance on complex and non-complex negotiations
• Oversee trade control compliance policy and risk management to minimize exposure
• Manage trade compliance through continuous improvement and policy development
• Embed environmental requirements in coordination with other teams
• Draft, develop and standardize procurement contract documents to reduce liability
• Flow down contractual requirements into supply chain (e.g., DEFCON, Cybersecurity)

Key requirements

• BSc/BA in law, business or related field
• Proven experience as contract manager or specialist
• Contractual and legal knowledge
• Strong understanding of Trade Control, ITAR and Export Administration Regulations
• In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulations
• Excellent reporting procedures and record keeping
• Understanding of best practice procurement techniques and processes
• English language proficiency; Italian is a plus
• Ability to facilitate conflict resolution with internal teams and suppliers/customers
