Location: Huntingdon, CambridgeshireSalary: Circa £27,000, dependent on skills and experienceContract: Fixed Term – until 31st March 2027Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, working between 7am and 6pm

Our client is looking for an organised and highly accurate Operations Administrator to join their busy team in Huntingdon.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator who enjoys working in a fast-paced, reactive environment where priorities can change quickly.

Working as part of the Operations team, you will provide essential administrative and organisational support, helping to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations for customers and contracted partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate company records and data across internal systems

  • Review, update and reconcile electronic records on a daily basis

  • Book in drivers and vehicles and prepare information for invoicing

  • Check and verify booking references, water volumes and mileage/KMs

  • Maintain contractor records and ensure required documentation is up to date

  • Prepare, maintain and file driver paperwork, water testing results and certificates

  • Raise purchase orders and assist with reviewing and processing invoices

  • Deal with emails, telephone calls and Teams messages within agreed timescales

  • Assist with scheduling, filing and general administration

  • Support the processing of new drivers and maintain confidential information

  • Work closely with colleagues and contractors to obtain and clarify information

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and maintain high Health & Safety standards

About You

You will ideally have previous experience in administration, coordination, logistics or a similar fast-moving environment.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accurate data-entry skills

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and SharePoint

  • Excellent organisational and administration skills

  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities

  • A proactive approach and the ability to manage your own workload

  • A strong customer-service approach

  • The confidence to communicate with colleagues, contractors and customers

This is a particularly busy role, so the ability to stay organised, remain calm under pressure and quickly switch between priorities will be important.
