Decorator

Overview

In this role you will prepare internal surfaces in a Glasgow showroom and apply finishes to walls and other areas to a high standard. You’ll keep the workspace tidy and safe while meeting decorating tasks within agreed timescales. You help maintain a well-presented showroom for visitors and staff, delivering neat, consistent finishes. You work with on-site instructions, protecting adjacent surfaces and using the right tools to achieve quality results.

Responsibilities

• Prepare walls and internal surfaces for painting or finishing
• Paint and decorate showroom areas to the specified standard
• Protect adjacent surfaces and fixtures during work
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe work area throughout the job
• Follow onsite instructions and work to agreed timescales
• Use appropriate decorating tools and materials for each task

Key requirements

• Experience as a decorator, preferably in showroom or similar environments
• Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver neat, consistent finish
• CSCS card
• Able to follow instructions and work to agreed timescales
• Reliability, punctuality and a professional approach on site
• Commitment to working safely and maintaining a tidy work area
