Overview
In this role you provide high‑level employment law advice within the Corporate Litigation and Compliance Team. You will handle a varied caseload, including Employment Tribunal claims, contract drafting and reviews, and TUPE matters. You work in a small, collaborative team in a dynamic environment and must prioritise a changing workload. Your work supports the council’s mission to promote equality and fair employment practices. This is a chance to shape employment outcomes in a public sector setting while developing expertise across sensitive cases.

Responsibilities
- conduct Employment Tribunal claims and provide strategic advice
- draft and review employment contracts and related documents
- advise on employee rights and obligations

Key requirements
- qualified lawyer (solicitor, barrister or FILEX) with thorough employment law knowledge
